current operations:
#BostonIDP13- June first was the International Day of Privacy. MassOps demonstrated at the fusion center in Boston. Days after IDP Snowden released the NSA papers which exposed just how far the breach of privacy has gotten, so MassOps has expanded this Op to push back against the erosion of the fourth amendment. MassOps has led a Cease and Desist march in Boston and will be doing a second Cease and Desist in Cambridge, and MassOps helped organized Boston's Restore the Fourth rally and march. On July ninth we will rally at the statehouse and then give testimony to the Ma legislature about privacy.

#Opmartiallaw- the actions of the state and federal government in Massachusetts have been intolerable. We have seen naked open martial law and we will not allow it to go unchallenged. We had a heavily armed military occupying our streets- pointing rifles at the citizens & dragging them from their homes. This is not legal or acceptable- it is Martial Law. This unforgivable treasonous act must be remembered and justice must be brought to those responsible. Every patriotic American has a duty to uphold the constitution and to oppose those who tarnish it... Martial Law is shredding the document our country exists because of. We must send a clear message to every future would be tyrant; they must know they will face punishment.

#FreeCameron- has been freed and all charges dropped! we would like to see those behind his incarceration and prosecution lose their jobs
#opangel- Aaron Swartz the cofounder of Reddit and the Open Information activist was federally prosecuted for years. He was accused of breaking the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) an antiquated law allowing people to be prosecuted for breaking the user agreements with websites (think twice before you click “ok” at the I-store or make a facebook page for your pet because you could face 35 years like Aaron did). Aaron Swartz faced 35 years and a million dollar fine despite the “victim” (the website JSTOR who's user agreement Aaron violated) requesting that he not be prosecuted. Aaron (who was only 26) took his only life in despair. Aaron was targeted for this multi-year brutal (and at times illegal) prosecution because he was an activist and because Carmen Ortiz, the federal attorney for Massachusetts, wanted a political boost. Carmen must be fired, and Aaron's law (correcting the CFAA) must be passed.
